![]() ![]() Normally the service there is pleasant so I'm hoping that this was just a one-time bad experience. I'm embarrassed that I brought a gift that made me look like a cheapo but I didn't have time to go anywhere else, and there was no way I was going back in to deal with that girl again. I ended up bringing two, 2/3-full small boxes of cookies. ![]() In the end, I had to waste a bunch of time dealing with that girl, and trying to tie the two stupid boxes of cookies together with a ribbon so it looked halfway decent. I'd pay whatever they weighed, but she just kept insisting that I tell her the weight of the cookies I wanted to buy! We went back and forth and it was super irritating. She kept insisting that I specify the weight of the cookies before she would fill them! I explained to her multiple times that I was bringing these as a gift and just wanted the boxes to be full. Instead, I asked her to fill up about one small box with the $11 cookies and to fill up another small box with the $8. Even though every other time, it hasn't been problem, I finally acquiesced because she was clearly not interested in my needs and I was in a rush. I wanted to buy a medium sized box of all the varieties of Italian cookies, as I've done previously many times. The counter person refused because "they are different prices" and "only sold by weight". This week, I had the most frustrating and super annoying exchange with the counter person. I'm hoping my one-time, bad experience was just a one time thing. ![]() I often buy a few pounds of mixed Italian cookies, always including the more expensive almondy ones and the cheaper butter cookies- to bring as gifts. I've been getting my desserts for a few years and the sandwiches (weekdays only) are amazing. ![]()
